Missing you, my love...

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Friday, 13th August 2004 @ 10:50:32 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Empty.
Cold and bare without you…
Emotions taking over me,
And I can’t fight back…
I am, once again, beaten…
These words spill through my pen with ebony blood,
And they waltz across the white plains…
Thoughts, never-ending…
Contemplating on how to deal with this,
This seemingly endless time without you, my love…
Tears of anguish flow freely,
Pain mangles my heart…
And I lay here,
On this dusty bed…
Sleep hasn’t visited me yet,
Still hasn’t crooned me Her sweet lullaby,
Still hasn’t gently rocked me into a world of surrealism, beauty, images, and of course,
An ocean of you…
I wish to drown in your splendor,
In your endless kisses and love…
Dark thoughts inhabit my fevered mind,
Horror strikes me hard with an iron fist…
I don’t want to go back!
Let your glorious light shroud the hideous darkness!
All those horrible things from the past,
Tearing, eating at me…
I know what I must do,
The ending is always the same….
Darkness always wins…
But there is something in me,
That makes me want to retaliate…
A spark that has never been in me…
And as I look deep inside myself,
I see you…
Heavenly, luminous, beautiful you…
I see myself in your eyes,
And this light in them,
This love that you feel for me,
Consumes me whole…
In a sea of your passion and devotion,
I am finally free…
Free of all the past sins I have committed…
Free of all the darkness…
I am boundless…
I am that bird in the sky…

And I still recall a stage, for I know I have read these words before, only as she dissapears into the rafters ... she reappears by my side, while white doves are loosed from the wings to fly from the auditorium, accentuating her final words.

More Beautiful with every read Stephy ~

Speaking of missing someone, where the hell you been? :)

This line, too cool:

Let your glorious light shroud the hideous darkness!

Just as long as that bird in the sky doesn't leave a poopie on anyone. j/k In all seriousness, this is awesomely dreary and beautiful. I like the dusty bed effect. Seemed deathly and then new life is born into a lonely soul.

Thanks,

Tim
