How?

Contributed by kitty_cat on Friday, 13th August 2004 @ 10:46:13 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Everyone tells you to get over things
Get on with your life
To be glad for everything you have rather than be pessimistic
Make things happen
But how can you do that when the thing you want most
The person you love most
Won't have you
What happens when you cant get over it
Because the person hovers over everything you do
Is in everything you say
Is the reason why you breathe
How can you be glad with what you have
When all you had was this person's love
But now its faded
Disappeared
Gone
Now i have nothing
I have no family
No job
No friends
I'm told to go out and appreciate all the beauty around me
I live in a place where people are stabbed and shot
Where they are discriminated for their colour, their religion, the clothes they wear
Whats beautiful about that?
The only thing that was beautiful in my life was him
Our love was the only thing that mattered
Our love was the only thing that kept me going
But now its dead
I may as well be dead too cos he was my life
So if thats dead, theres no use for me
I may as well die myself

I seem to be connecting quite a bit with your poems...seems as if were coming from the same type of crap...
Yup and those people think that its so easy to get over everything and its not! They don't understand what were going through and its not fair....!

Oh and you had told me "I don't know if it's a gift or what but when I read things like this, I don't just feel something, I see it. I can see your pain, your strength and the energy put forth to make this a truly honest poem."

It is a gift...I have it also...it tought me that it was a gift...he showed me so many things...he's just so amazing and intelligent...
