Ready To Die

Contributed by AdamChantell on Thursday, 12th August 2004 @ 10:06:57 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

This is why i am ready to go,
Because it feels like life is as tight as a lasso,
They say the last thing they need is a dead hero,
If i dont see what i got, I'll be back at zero.

Our generation is beyond corrupt,
To the point where when you watch the news, all you can say is "that sucks",
Tell me why we all have to hide,
Just to hide what we have inside and to survive.

It is time for us to wake up and realize what we got,
Because everytime we lose something.. we become shocked,
I am sick and tired of seeing this mess,
Kids killing kids... what's next?

Point i am trying to make is this,
Everytime i think about this world, i get *****,
Thinking about if i were to go, would i be missed?
I think the world would be ok with one less Chris.

brilliant poem, i cant agree more with everything youve said in the first three stanzas. but im afraid im gonna have to argue with the last one. this world is *****, and of course many peoples lives would be the same if you werent here, same with everyone. but i can garantee (bad spelling sorry) u that there is at least one person, probably a whole lot more, that would be deeply affected if you were gone. and even if its only one person - thats still ALOT of pain theyre gonna have. and if you were gone, i wouldnt have read this poem. and trust me, i dont just comment on anyones poems, i dont write crap about how great they are if i dont mean it. so good luck, dont give up yet. xxx

Love it. Half the time that's what I think about. Couldn't have been said any better.
