my freedom

Contributed by blueeyedevil13 on Wednesday, 11th August 2004 @ 10:11:59 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

i can feel the black seep into my veins
as i watch the sky turn an inky dark
the pain deepens and i am not yet free

when the night comes
you die feeding on your fears
and i linger, hoping to find some feeling
but no hope is satisfied
random words and things you've said
dart across my thoughts
ive become a meaning less jumble of nothing
with hopes so high
but killed by you when you gather your courage
and i cant have my freedom while you have your strength
in the end one of us must loose something

yet another night comes and day fades away
bringing closer with it my freedom of you
while you stay fearful
i can hope and pray for your demise
all i wanted was to fly
but you had to clip my wings
and kill my fake celestial skies

Sometimes "pointless jumble of words" makes sence, and by writing more I'm sure you will do much better, Good luck.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
