Just close your eyes
And pretend it's not there
Just give a little sigh
And your life might be spared.

It lurks in the corners
And you know in your heart
That it makes you a mourner
And pricks you like a dart.

Just close your eyes
And pretend that I am with you
Please tell me no lies
And I will do the same too.

For I will be there with you
And be by your side
To help you through
When you feel you want to hide.

Just close your eyes
And pretend it's not there
Just give a little sigh
And your life will be spared.

Very interesting. I like the second stanza particularly. Well written!
