Mathematics have joined with the sciences,
Overlooking the art department
why make sense with a paintbrush? ,or
a camera ,when a calculator gives such an instant answer?
Meanwhile the art department are laughing.
It cant understand how a bunsen burner can express a feeling or a number can be put on a wall
Not as bad as the pe department,
questioning those playing music, or acting
in a play
how does a note on an instrument measure up
to the satisfaction of scoring a hattrick
in footy or a try in rugby?!
yet in drama the joke seems 2 be on the pe department....
the acting skills are terrible when trying
to fake an injury and gain a penalty
The English department is trying to work out
the so many unnecessary
parts of the french language
but the french department is content.
It cant understand a word anyone is saying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it really is that way, it *is* a wierd school. We need the creative courses for our humanity and the math and sciences to keep our feet on the ground -- how they can be anything but separated as classes is beyond me! Nice write! |

I love this. My school year has had this confusion also, and I'm a teacher. I like the thought involved into this piece. You truly capture what schools have become--institutions of confusion!
