This morning I picked up my Little Niece,
I had the entire day all planned...
We were both excited about our trip
Spending the day at Story Book Land.
It's a huge Summer attraction...
Families come from miles around
Children and Parents playing all day long
From sun up to sun down.
My Niece ran to see Humpty Dumpty
As he sat on the wall,
We got there just in time before...
He had his great fall.
Little Jack Horner sat in his corner
Eating his Christmas Pie...
While Little Miss Muffet sat on her Tuffet
Eating her Curds and Whey...
The Three Little Pigs were building their homes,
To keep the Big Bad Wolf away.
Mary and her Little Lambs were on their way to school,
Ran into Twenty Froggies down beside a Rushy pool.
We went to the tent with the Animal Fair...
The Birds and the Beast, they all were there.
Outside we saw Three Kittens as they began to cry...
They said....we've lost our mittens, now we shall have no pie.
All the children were still busy at play
When we heard the Little Red Hen...
Asking her friends over and over again,
Who will help plant me some wheat?
So we can all have warm bread to eat.
On our way back home we talked of the fun we had.
If you're ever in South Jersey, stop and visit Story Book Land.
It will bring out the kid in you...
One trip and you'll understand.
Driving back down the Parkway, giving thanks to God...
For keeping us safe, and for a wonderful day.
As my Niece fell asleep to the tune of
My recital of Wynken, Blynken and Nod.

Nice use of nursery rhymes there.
I have a place like this near where I live, except its probably a millionth the scale of what you Americans have made it.
Humpty Dumpty! Ah what a foolish egg. |
