My Brown Eyes

Contributed by solnubis on Tuesday, 10th August 2004 @ 08:23:48 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

I see you there on stage standing tall and straight,
A little scared
Browns eyes moving all around
Seeing if you spot me in the room
But I am not there
I let you go and spread your wings
On your own
With my heart in your heart
Knowing that I can feel you
And you knowing that I’m there with you
I can see a little fear in the twinkle of your eye
Don’t fear my son you are doing well.
I can hear the song from where I sit
Waiting for your return back home
I did not go with you
Because I did not want you to be ridiculed by your friends
I did not want to shame you
I am sadden that I cannot be there with you but I will one day
And it won’t matter to me what people think or say or how they look at me.
But for today it does matter
I am in pain because I can’t be there with you
I feel though that this is the best I can do for you as well as me.
So for today my love goes with you in your heart.

Lovely words, that seem to come straight form the heart.

Through the pain, love shines through.
That is truly wonderful.
