Eventide
Fall softly gentle light ray,
dimming the Autumn of my days
as splendor in my branches
unfurl for one last dance.
Cool heated thirsty passion
from an awkward spawning stage
to one who seduces
as the artist virtuoso.
Fondle gently the full moon
as her wisdom replenishes
my traveling spirit
from the flesh of life experience.
Sweetly iterate the value of
sapience upon my glowing
horizon as the setting sun,
unburdens an able freedom.
Remember me through eventide
as insight and application
prove my journey worthy
of the decreasing life light slumber.

Prove my journey worthy...
I think we all can relate to this on some level. Masterfully penned verse with a beautiful message of living life and hoping for the wisdom that comes with experience.
