I shouldn’t take things out on you,
My forked tongue cuts right through,
Huts you smack bang in your heart,
Puts you right back at the start.
You have never done anything wrong,
Anger is aimed where it doesn’t belong,
I should show you love not pain,
Fill your days with sunshine & not rain.
Now I’m rife with regret & guilt,
I know I can’t replace what’s been spilt,
Can’t take back what has already been said,
I really wish I’d have bit my tongue instead.
Your voice didn’t have the same happy tone,
When I spoke to you on the phone,
You sounded fed up & quite down,
Like your heart was trailing on the ground.
I wish that my temper didn’t rise,
But alas it did what a surprise,
Yet again I have ruined something good,
Made your heart swim in a river of blood.

This is an easy read, good job. It flows through most of the lines well and is simple in its honesty. Straightforward.
