How can you love someone you don't even know?
Could you just pretend and let the lie grow?
Could you keep it up day after day,
and try and say 'I love you' in the same enthuastic way?
One day you would be forced to leave
All the love you didn't have was enough to make you heeve
For it seems love is always too strong a word
And everyone fakes it so as not to be a nerd
For most of us love is forever a dream
Nothing but a heart-breaking game or scheme
Until your old flame you try to woo
But by then your love is way overdue

Good poem. You can't love someone you don't know. It is something else. Infatuation? Admiration? Lust? Not love. |
