You thought he was the perfect one
The one who came home drunk everynight
The one who hit you, threatended to kill US.
Tried to throw us out, Take me away forever
I put all my trust in him, I thought,
Just mabey, he will stick around, and act like
a father to me. But I guess not.
Scared to leave you alone all summer with
this jerk. Terrified to sleep at night.
But all that is in the past now.
Its been four long years, tryin to cope. He has done good
since that night. that night I told him I hated him. Hasnt taken
a sip since, for now he is my overnight miracle.

I just read this today, it made me want to cry. So beautiful. I really do pray that your overnight miracle has remaind a miracle. Trust God, He will never leave you and will carry you through any fire you may have to go through. |
