Symphony of sorrow taunting these ears,
Decorating cheeks with streaks of unease,
Upon the flowing tune my courage is sheared,
It seeps upon me like a stinging disease.
It's plastered within my silenced moments,
Each day threatening to boldly emerge,
Sinister melody disguised in simplicity,
My strands of fears beginning to merge.
Essence of sadness play distinct sounds,
White petals soaked, beginning to crease,
Music that leaves this heart to bleed,
Slowly but surely I sink to my knees.

Its sickly and putrid in parts
"It seeps upon me like a stinging disease."
That's vivid and cloying. I like the vividness you evoke here, and it reminds me of being ill from sadness in days past.
Hope you've recovered.
Keep writing. |

Oh this is heartwrenching to the point that I just want to hug you tight.
Sadness is a silence that is so hollow inside--inwardly its like hearing an echo across a chasm. It is like an illness.
You have portrayed it vividly with this piece.

Change brings sorrow and fears, but the newness of is shared and replaced with smiles.

I'm so very sorry dear.......for I can relate....I've heard that sympony many times and to this date. Where out of frustration and perhaps circumstances beyond your control......you simply can't stand on your feet and take anymore. You fall to your knees with ease, to get away from the sounds of sorrow, disease, and restfullness, perhaps injustice. This is a marvelous way of explaining the feeling! I could really relate to this poem.....I do pray things will get better for you....hand in there!
Poetic hugs....big ones
love

What a preening example of the other side of sorrow. My side actually... for there is a beauty in sorrow and depression.. a symphony of sorrow indeed for th emusic of sorrw though not to be looked for can be beautiful if it does arrives.... only the enlightened will be able to se this...the beauty in tears... okay...okay I am partial to the negative side of things... being depressed deeply myself...but anyway topically aside, this is quite a nice rendition of an exquisitely inscribed emotion...such sweet sorrow...
"...beyond the plains and peaks of depression there is a plateau that gives absolute ecstacy... just sink into it and the dpression will give you warmth..."~ Words spoken by the Hermitic Crab. |

Oh hun, this is so sad, i think it just ripped my heart in two.
I can really feel this.
Amazing write
"Symphony of sorrow taunting these ears,
Decorating cheeks with streaks of unease,
Upon the flowing tune my courage is sheared,
It seeps upon me like a stinging disease."
Brilliant, Phil xxx |
