Sadness fills my heart
at the thought that we should part,
for though we argue, dear
I want you to be near.
I need your arms to hold me tight
when nothing's going right.
With my head upon your shoulder
I'll sleep soundly through the night
When you walk with me and hold my hand
it makes me feel so grand.
I know we'll stay together
to share our lives as planned
