Worms compacted into my head to form a brain to produce a thought
And you, you're a thought that does not come so easy
I've sat alone for too long in the dark without you
And you, came like a storm out of the west
and without warning
I was torn apart
It's not my fault that you don't care
You didn't love me enough to stay
You just can't take a seat with the father, son and holy dove
and think "it's like you never left"
Vines wrapped around a bone to produce a body, that moves
I will not bend for you
I will not shed another tear in your name
It's not my fault that things arent the same
that your voice leaves me dumbstruck
that my bleeding heart is no longer center stage for you to stare at
Leave the systemic fundamentals alone
lets have lunch on sunday, and watch jesus christ hang around
And I'll, think it over
I'll see if you could sit in the corner
in the dark
in your chains
with out water
with the rats eating away
and maybe
you could stay a while

Powerful.
Well done. You touched a vein that we've all felt. |
