Butterfly

Contributed by jan on Monday, 9th August 2004 @ 08:15:23 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

I dream of a silent angel and her beautiful golden butterfly. The strong and noble monarch is perched upon the angel's delicate hand, like a brilliant flame. Observation of the creature, content within her palm, reveals an intricate design which appears to pulse and illuminate a remarkable mystery. Not the usual circles and swirls of an ordinary butterfly. I soon realize, with delight, that upon these celestial wings is written a soul’s story.

The ethereal butterfly had undergone more than a simple metamorphosis. Its glorious wings of fate, a perfect set, were fashioned between heaven and earth, created by God, to secure immortal flight. The many paths to truth are often hidden by vanity and deceit. The butterfly comprehends its mortal purpose and is forever driven to its ultimate destiny. With wings united by grace and love, it is free.

As I watch the butterfly leave the angel's hand, I realize that these special wings have always existed, eternally bound in every way. To complete a life’s purpose is to reveal one’s true self, both body and soul. Without one, there is no other.

* * *

Butterfly destiny on paper thin wings
Chance and fate illusion sings

Dancing wind of luminous light
Echoes a path of celestial flight

Essence torn at heaven’s gate
Searching for the perfect mate

A cosmic romance God does paint
Transforming all material constraint

Elegant, lovely, gentle, prolific and inspiring.

I wonder if another butterfly earned its wings today? The transformation was so beautifully written.

Well done.

Kie

'Not the usual circles and swirls of an ordinary butterfly. I soon realize, with delight, that upon these celestial wings is written a soul’s story.'
Enchanting and inspiring.
You have a wonderful imagination and talent.

I loved the line:
'With wings united by grace and love, it is free.'
I think these words are deep.
One of the best works I have read on this site recently.
