Job Well Done

Job Well Done

Were all so different, yet so much the same,
Our likes and dislikes different last names.
We discuss the future, problems, the past,
Only to find common ground at last.

I know a man, quiet and strong,
It seems in his life nothing was wrong.
Always smiling, and never in doubt,
Enjoyed what he had and like all did without.

Even in sickness his smile remained,
Though he suffered, he never complained.
To be that thoughtful in his time of need,
A lesson in life we all should heed.

Looking back I realize now,
The example he leaves will remain somehow,
Many thoughts I’m sure will become the past,
The kind memories are the ones that will last.

My friend lost his battle with life today,
And many will have kind things to say.
If they think hard about knowing the man,
They’ll find many good things that he left at hand.

A garden of flowers he planted at home,
The blooms he awaited are not yet grown.
He now walks in a garden of splendor unknown,
In that land of loved ones, never alone.

Were all so different, yet so much the same,
Our likes and dislikes, different last names.
Today Jesus embraced him, welcomed him home,
“Good morning my child, Job Well Done”

You've done Ray proud with your beautiful words. May he always live on in your tribute to him. Anyone would be blessed to have you as their friend. I'm sure Ray is smiling on you right now. Take care.

What a kind a caring tribute to your friend. I am sorry for your loss. It is hard to find good friends and he sounds like he was a great one. Your care and concern for him is quite evident in this work. God bless you.

Rita
