Filled With Worry

Contributed by pixie on Monday, 9th August 2004 @ 09:43:19 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

At the moment I am filled with worry,
It’s washing over me in a flurry,
I’m letting worry get in the way,
Of enjoying having love every day.

I am scared of losing you & all we share,
Then I’d be left all vulnerable & bare,
Naked to the brambles & the thorns,
Of this world into which I was born.

My mind is wall to wall trials,
Sometimes it’s hard to muster a smile,
The more I worry the faster goes my heart,
In fear of being torn right apart.

I wish it was all a very bad dream,
That I could wash it away down a stream,
But every day it looms closer still,
Filling my body with a nervous chill.

Fear of the unknown swarms over me,
As the future is something we can not see,
I wish things were going to stay the same,
Then my torment I would be able to tame.

Mark offers me reassurance all the time,
Tells me that he will always be mine,
But this worry makes me have doubts,
& the niggling voice inside me shouts.

It tells me he’ll forget I have needs,
& he’d just stand there when I bleed,
Push me aside & close the door,
Leave me crumpled on the floor.

The mind is such a powerful thing,
Thoughts of pain & hurt it can bring,
To every part of your living soul,
Making you feel left out in the cold.

Almost exactly what I'm going through.
I'd offer solace, but I'm scared too.

As to the poem: it's very good... I like it... the rhyme flows well and it's a lovely piece.

Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea

Gosh, I know this panic. Hateful, isn't it? If you learn a way around it, please let me know.
Excellent write.

I wish I could take your worry away and fill it with security.

This poem really cried out to me.

You write well and I thought it was excellent to read.

AhhhhhhhhPixie my dear friend, please do not worry for tomorrow......enjoy every second of this day......now, the present, and let tomorrow take care of it's self, but not replace what you are feeling now.
Such a sorrow to worry about tomorrow......whatever it brings, tears, or may be you will sing..........you will be strong enough to handle anything!
Just enjoy this moment.........right now
Beautiful poem.....written very well.
love

This is a very touchy thing.
As Galvin said
"What controls your mind controls your life"
Stress is a very vivid image and can become very controlling.
The thing to remember is fear is a natural thing and the only thing you can control is yourself.
So being afraid is okay and sometimes it's just a brighter side of awareness.
But these things can only live so much,
So don't give them the power.
Because truth is truth And we are all alone together and together we can build homes, cities, love.
So just believe worry ain't to much to worry. It's there and so are ya'll.

You can't turn off the stars. But you can enjoy them or choose not to.
The true power isn't of the worry. It's the time you give to it and let it breath.

-Well I got a couple in to day
I'll check you out later.-

God bless you.
