Nighttime Lessons

Topic: DarkPoetry

The flames of hell will freeze you
Snow can melt your skin
sunlight makes you sickly
and moonlight restores you again
you blood flows without dripping
leaving you without heart
Death lies sleeping beside you
waiting to play her part
you soul is near an epiphany
but cannot reach the bridge
your stuck in a room, with no way out
the door stuck in a hinge
the tears are knotted in your throat
your ready to slice them free
roll deeper in your blankets now
to listen better to me
Fate awaits to lead you astray
Destiny make you her slave
Love can take away all your pride
and Honor never saves
Everything here I said is true,
here in this world at least
reality dosen't exist here
i've banned that ugly beast
no, im not insane
just tired of being fooled
I escaped into my mind
to play by my rules
now you know my story
and look, it's almost day
your nighttime lessons are over
now we can go our ways

Woah freaky...Thats one nightmare lesson I will pass on.
But all the same it is a beautifully written poem, such a vivd imagination, the pictures blew me away, awesome talent, although I hope all is well with you and your step dad.
Keep on writing it was a choice poem.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
