A Tour of Haunted Hall

I've always believed in chivalry,
How guys would always protect the girls,
How you never had anything to fear,
At least, until I met Earl.
Well, Earl's not really his name,
But I'll change it to protect his image,
Because what I am about to say,
Will completley shatter that visage.
You see me and "Earl" went on a Haunted Tour
Of Haunted Hall, late one night,
While I was giggling,
"Earl" freaked out in fright.
He screamed "Get out of my way"
And "take her, don't kill me"
He pushed me into the guy with the chain saw,
And the apple cider I was drinking, went all over both of us, you see.
Well, here I am, covered to head to toe
In hot apple cider, simmering with anger
Talking to masked phantoms
And trying to figure out were "Earl" went running to hide from the danger,
Stalking past guys
Screaming for help, From the evil witch doctor,
While they tried not to yelp,
And here I am ignoring the skeletons
And the witches,
Just wanting to take a switch to dear ol' "Earl's"
Britches...
Running off, leaving me,
With a guy holding a chain saw no less,
I caught up with him in the grave yard,
Yelling for help.
Well, here I decided to
Extract my revenge,
So I yelled, "Get him boys!"
Then laughed as he tripped over a bench,
Went head first into the mud.
Well... just in case "Earl" was feelin like a fool,
I had to go and break revenge's
Sweetest little rule...
I let him get me back
On the next haunted hill,
With another chain saw guy...
Only it was me that, still, about got killed.
So I ran screaming, made a complete
Fool out of myself,
Just so "Earl" would feel a bit better
About his lonesome self.
Well, dear ladies and gents,
I have just one last phrase for you,
Chivalry definitely is dead...
Especially in a haunted house when dear "Earl" runs from you!!!

Ginnie: I love it, great write. So humorous and so real I can picture it all so clear. Well done.
But if chivalry is dead, who killed it.
In 1989 I encountered.....
Maybe an interesting topic for another forum.
Catch Ya..... |
