Grief
|
A soft voice echoes through the past
as if a moment of happiness
would subside the horrible blast
A child trembles in fear
as the handprint across her face
couldn't be more clear
The tears of sorrow and pain
tumble down her cheeks
to prove that she is sain
The child stands in horror
to afraid to run away
but to be pushed down lower
She waits to hear her command
but in her fear
forgets to stand
So she meets again
the pain and cruelty
of that awful hand.
