Resurection (Mynstral Lives )

Contributed by Nazmythian on Sunday, 8th August 2004 @ 02:57:31 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

The power of love, and the strength of The Magic
Events of my world, wreaking sorrow and havoc
Inside my soul as I fight to control
The tempting urge to put words to page

The fire still burns, though the flames have been smothered
An ember flares up, and encourages others
I find as I sit, determined to quit
From the ashes arises The Sage

I promised myself, I could ignore what's inside
Time has determined, that it won't be denied
Music lives on with the beat of each song
Demanding the words to voice its rage

I now continue, I will practice this, my art
Writing down those words, that are heard within my heart
Magic and chance are relived with each dance
And move on with each coming of age

With my pen in hand, I'll recount all the stories
The days of our lives, of our sorrows and glories
For I can't deny, who I am inside
And it will not let me keep it caged !!

Mynstral Lives

Weeeeeeee! I have respect for anyone who can write a rhyming poem well -- rythem considered. It almost seems a lost art...

Anyway, This is beautifully done and cute to boot! Nice work :)

Five months for you.... five years, or thereabouts, for me. Both.... too long. A mere moment is too long - when it's there waiting, pushing... wanting to spill out. It can't be denied. Not really. Whether you do something with it or not - it's still there. And the longer it goes that you don't yield to it - the louder it gets until it's crashing up against the inside of you... finally, at some point, bursting out. Just as.... it so clearly did here.

I absolutely love this piece. It is, of course, well written - but it is also, so much more than the words on the page. It's simply enormous.

Rejoicing in the fact that you failed in your attempt to let it go,
SNM
