His Run Through the Woods

He would run through the woods.
A kid, broken up inside.
Some relief he was able to find.
In the tree's, the wind, and the air.
It allowed him to free himself from dispair.
Because he could never find someone to listen.
So, to bind it up inside was his disposition.
And so as nature has its rain,
So does his tears fall naturally from his pain.
His feelings-so rejected, they became so hidden and deep.
He searched for comfort and found me.
And the past left its painful mark.
He refused to reveal how he felt, confined it still in the dark.
But as time would repeatedly kiss us good-bye,
In my heart, he found it safe to try.
And he opened up his heart to me,
Yet he was still lost in himself, I was not the key.
And the woods are no longer near to heal,
And he is still not comfortable enough to let her feel
The emotions that lie inside
So, to me he returns to confide.
And each time he returns I feel his pain.
My tears flow as naturally as the rain.
But, deep down inside, I know I could never compare
To the tree's, the wind, and the air.
