some day and many times over someone is going to keep you from certain things, and when you ask them why they will say, "i am just trying to keep you from making the biggest mistake of your life." after your first time hearing that excuse you have every right to ask, "just how many biggest mistakes can there possibly be?" and "how the hell do you know that THIS is the biggest mistake i am going to make?" they wont know the answers to those questions and their response will likely be that deer in the headlights look, but to cover their unknowingness there will be something like, "i'm older. i've been there done that." kind of thing said to make themselves feel better. to this i suggest you reply... "well you made mistakes, you had your chance, you got to learn from those mistakes, so now its my life and my turn. let me learn from my own damn mistakes, and if it turns out that one day i feel the need to make the same mistake more than once, well maybe it was a fun mistake." you need to make your own mistakes and learn your own lessons. live your own life and make your own stupid mistakes. enjoy the good ones!

I really like this. it doesn't really have a poem format, but it came from your heart and that makes all the difference.
love forever
