Within My Dreams

Within my dreams I see your eyes,
While in the mist I see the rise,
That marks our birth within the night,
And gives us leave to start out flight.
Through summers’ dawn and gentle skies.
So on we sail the bond that ties,
Through gales of storms, and past the lies.
Forever sailing to the light,
Within my dreams.
But to you now my soul it cries.
As now I see our love, it dies.
Though I may try I cannot fight,
What fate declares as being right.
But though you’re gone my heart still tries,
Within my dreams.
