Resurfaced Fear

Contributed by Oriana on Saturday, 7th August 2004 @ 02:46:06 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

My heart of stone is slowly cracking.
Crumbling to reveal dormint emotions of long ago.
These resurfaced emotions scare yet excite me.
They make me worry but not care.
My tough exterior starts to soften causing the mask I wear to slip and tumble to the ground.
The fear of loving someone is once more apparent on my face.
The fear of giving them my heart only to have it returned beaten, bruised, and broken and feeling like it's been force fed back to me has returned.
Yet a slight calm has come over me just the same. A calm that tells me not to worry about the fear of loving someone once more.

very touching. Loving someone truly, focusing on them rather than yourself, leaving behind hopes for your own happiness or fears for your own pain, is a wonderful thing. It is truly living.
Take good care.
