Burnished golden leaves
waving in the majestic glory
of a crimson sunset,
whispering as they waved,
of soft and verdant dreams
of the spring to come.
The infinite hues of autumn
surrounded my soul,
and turned my thoughts
to the meeting to come.
Would the love we felt
without having met,
have the same fiery fervour
when we at last embrace?
I need not have feared at all!
When the golden summer
of our meeting arrived,
we kissed beneath
a rainbow arbor
of floral love....
and were as one.
