Every second you gotta watch ya back these days / cause people always plottin to attack these days / and there*s so many things that can distract these days / a cell phone, a beeper, dog or cat these days / and in this modern world there*s so much convenient

portable merchandise / it*s just a hidden introduction of a million ways to loose your life! / with all that distraction and you could get attacked and / yeah / let me lay out the scenario: Maria*s talking on the cell phone while she on the go / walking down a vancant street

being followed, but she didn*t know / then her beeper beeped and she reached to get it and slipped / she fell down on the pavement / broke her hands and her hips / cracked her head open on the street corner drain hole / her pursuer raped her, killed her and beat her

beyond recognition / Now! She just another jane doe in hells kitchen! / These tragedys wouldn*t happen if people just listen! / Who*s next? / Who*s playing with life & death! / pay attention / in this day and age you can*t walk blind and deaf! / don*t play with your

electronics and talk on the phone! / A girl got pushed on the train tracks cause she was on a cell phone. she didn*t see it coming since she wasn*t paying attention! / A guy got hit by a bus cause his hand was on his face talking on the cell phone not paying attention! / Someone got hit by car and died cause the

driver was on a cell phone! Was attention on the road? NO! / Now a dead bodys on the road laying stiff and cold! / And theres alot more deaths caused by distraction of a cell phone / Leave everything that distracts you outside at home! / dont be the next one to be a victim / They think they well aware, but they

really unaware / look what happens when people dont care! / Satans cooking up recipes
for disaster / hes just chillin, waiting for the next disaster! / Dont wait till its to late to change your lifestyle / dont think maybe next time / The Time is Now!

Guilty. I shake my head in disbelief at a guy drivin an talking on a cell phone not, payin attention, and 10 minutes later ... when my phone rings ... that guy is me. I wonder who's pointing at me ? I'd like to hear this recited. Good piece.

Naz ~

I totally agree with ya! Electronics are supposed to be more convenient, but they are more of a distraction. I don't own a cell and refuse to get one. I'm not so important that I have to be on the phone constantly. Someone wants me they can catch up to me at home. I heard a hip hop beat in my head as I read this. :o) Good write!

P.S. One aspect you didn't include is the fact of ppl being killed because of theft. Just a thought. ;o)

I'm glad you have voiced your opinion. It echoes in the reality of life. These are very well-written lyrics.

Jolly Good Show!
