"Striking Back"
Swept under by this broom they call life
You've had enough, but put down the knife
The cuts you'll make will only add pain
Everything you own will be covered in a blood stain
There's easier ways to end this
Try getting back at your critics
Those people who said you wouldn't make it
Shove it in their face, that you're still in this
They bullied you like a high school freak
They always said "Just wait until next week"
The beatings were scheduled like a holiday in Canada
But you rose above them
Now laugh in their face
You're still around, despite your so-called "disgrace"

Sorry about that. This isn't "Striking Back". I'll get Mick to delete this and I'll re-submit the real one. |
