Heroes

Topic: SongLyrics

We all live ~ We all die
We all give ~ We all cry
We chase the day, into the night
Tryin’ to do ~ what is right

Well, he came across a burning car
A woman trapped inside
It seems a Lexus ran a stoplight
Nearly cost them both their lives
A couple fellas helped him pull that lady from her ride
He said “Don’t label me a hero, I was just doin’ what was right”

I remember as a young man
Watchin’ on a T.V. set
A plane crashed in a river
A commercial jumbo jet
There were people in the water, it was winter, bitter cold
A man from shore jumped in to help, he was somethin’ to behold

We all live ~ We all die
We all give ~ We all cry
We chase the day, into the night
Tryin’ to do ~ what is right

An act of insane madness
Brought two buildings to the ground
There were people trapped inside
Some bodies never have been found
But every walk of life, every color, every creed
Found strength in one another everywhere there was a need

We all live ~ We all die
We all give ~ We all cry
We chase the day, into the night
Tryin’ to do ~ what is right

We all live ~ We all die
We all give ~ We all cry
We chase the day, into the night
God, help me do ~ what is right

nice job, no one thinks to themself,If I do this I'll be a hero, instead they just do what must be done. It's usually only afterwards that the risks are thought about

Was this your first contribution?

I have never seen it before,
and man I loved it!

You know this is right up my alley.
It has your storytelling lyricism in it
which I always enjoy whole-heartedly.
