mommy 2 (remix)

Contributed by eternityandaday4u on Thursday, 5th August 2004 @ 12:52:37 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

let me tell you of a little girl i used to know
the pain she held and never let go
she cried at night all by herself.
the tears she harbored hidden on a shelf.

she remembers her mommy she remembers her past
but her mom doesn't care her guilt faded fast.
she tried hard to make her mommy proud every day
yet her life is filled with hurt from yesterdays way.

never in her life will tomorrow ever come
broken promises for tomorrow that were never done.
no momma don't hit me all night she cried
i'll never hit you again her mom said but she lied

the bruises they healed but the scars are still there.
of one broken heart and a mom who didn't care.
her mom lied and she lived here life in vain
she blamed others for her mistakes and caused her daughter pain.

so who will cry for the world i've battered and beaten to the ground.
who will cry for that little girl when no one is around
she lies there in bed and cries herself to sleep
she has nothing no good memories she wants to keep.

the moon has seen it all and the sun has seen no less
the stars can't keep it hidden so soon they will confess.
so who will cry for this little girl a good girl she tried so hard to be
who will cry for the little girl hidden deep inside of me!

I didn't read mommy 1 but any good writer would agree in saying you have a great talent. i love your way with words. Especially the ideea that a poem can bee remixed likee a song.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
