You taught me lots of things,
about life and love
and what it brings.
I've learned not
to accept a blow
from anyone, friend or foe.
I've learned not to lie
about my battered face;
and when it comes to blood,
I really hate the taste.
I learned that lines
aren't meant to measure,
and that if I hold on,
I CAN take the pressure.
I learned that hate
may be wrong,
but when there's nothing else,
it's what keeps you strong.
I learned that
I'm worth the fight,
I will survive.
I'll be alright.
I learned alot
in these six years,
especially that I CAN
let go of fears.
I learned that hate and pain
can live so long,
but I CAN get away,
and move along.
