my eternal love...

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Thursday, 5th August 2004 @ 07:22:27 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Dark is the tunnel that I walk,
No light illuminates my path, no hope…
Just a wandering ghost, invisible to the world…
And yet, your Heaven eyes still see me…
The pain eats away at me incessantly,
My soulless body drowns in a sea of nothingness…
Wide is the void that replaces my heart…
And yet, you evoke a feeling in me that fills this vast emptiness…
In this tranquil, dreamless sleep, I await the next day of Hell…
My screams build up in me, make me choke on them…
Mouth sewn shut, eyes stapled open, so I can see the horrors of this world…
And yet, I see you, as bright as the Sun, and you fill me with hope…
I succumb to you without hesitation or doubt,
I want to bask in your glow and splendiferous beauty, drowning in perpetual bliss when I gaze into your eyes…
My arms embrace your fragile body, and I believe I’m holding Heaven…
Life to me now seems worth living for…
Not in the shadows, but in this holy light that surrounds you…
I look up to the sky from which you fell from, and tears flood my eyes…
Happiness ruptures in me, for I have finally found my eternal love…

Nice job. I love the two feelings you express here. Pain and anguish along with love and gratefulness. I think these feelings encompass the wholeness of life. Because life is pain, but it is also love, and I think it's possible to expreience both of those at the same time. And when we can exprerience both aspects, it becomes easier to accept the pain, and to continue on with our life because it is also filled with beauty. I just hope that you can see beauty in life, and not just in a relationship. I'm not saying that relationships aren't beautiful. I love my girlfriend so much. I experience that beauty every day, and I sincerly hope your relationship goes well. But I also experience that beauty when I look at the sky and feel the grass beneath my feet. I love this poem because it encompasses life. Great job.

Be True,
zenmind

There is nothing to add to what zen has said, for he wrapped it up so perfectly.

Stephy, you have a marvelous talent of painting vivid images with your words. This was no exception to the fantastic writes I have seen thus far from you. They have all been splendid.
