Insomnia

Topic: DarkPoetry

Empty.
A cold, barren desert, this hole inside of me…
Nothing flows through my veins except pain, despair, and lies…
And the bed yawns sleepily, waiting for an occupant…
But I dare not sacrifice myself…
Sleep is where the Hell begins…
These horrid nightmares, full of demons, hatred, you…
I gaze into your seemingly endless eyes,
And I am consumed by you…
I fall once again, and think to myself,
"Stupid! Mindless idiot! How can you let yourself get into this again? You’ve been through this many times before!"
I nod my head,
I don’t want to fight with myself again…
I wallow in it,
Your boundless sea of hate, masochistic pain, and insanity…
The persistent waves torrent over my head,
And I slowly drown, again…
I sink lower every waking moment,
Contemplating how we came to this…
This world of putrid malevolence…
I am the slave to the Creator…
I am adhered to the statue of my Master, with profound chains…
Am I ever to be free?
Will this ever end?
Ebony tears of guilt, sins, and anguish flush out of my eyes like a perpetually running faucet…
And you laugh, my love,
Oh, how you laugh!!!
You love to see me lose again,
You love to watch me suffer…
You love to use me as your marionette…
And I obey, every single demand…
Death seems so much sweeter to my ears now…
Let it come, I greet it with open arms…
But as your poison lips part from mine,
And you lick my blood off your mouth,
Savoring it like priceless wine,
I realize with revulsion,
YOU are my Death…

DAMN! This is great! Don't really know what to say....There are some great lines in this....

I fall once again, and think to myself,
"Stupid! Mindless idiot! How can you let yourself get into this again? You’ve been through this many times before!"
I nod my head,
I don’t want to fight with myself again…
I wallow in it,

I love this because I can totally see myself in your place, and I can feel this. I don't want to repeat myself, but I must say that I love your writing. It's unique, original, heartfelt, and true. I love how you let your words flow, because nothing is forced here, it is all natural and true. Again, thank you, and keep writing.

Be True,
zenmind

My heart cries out for the pain and hopelessness that you portray within these words...Oh but if there was a way to to set you free of the pain and memories...

Another powerfully emotional write that grips the reader and draws them into you
