Unwelcoming Reality

Contributed by hurthurthurt on Thursday, 5th August 2004 @ 12:13:55 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I see the world more clearly now, and I hate what I see.
Everything is so ****** up, I know it’s not just me.
How did we let it get this bad, get so out of hand?
I’m sure when god created us, this isn’t what he’d planned.
I look around, and everywhere, I see these people fight.
Each day they’re forced to live in hell, it simply isn’t right.
See the little boy; in his hand you see a gun.
I’m sure it’d be quite different if the world could all be one.
Hear the little girl crying softly in the night.
The tears won’t cease until her skin is turned from black to white.
See the battered mother, her husband’s drunk again.
In her arms, she holds her son; dead at only ten.
Look at this girl, her life has been, torn away by rape.
Every day, another victim; there is no escape.
See the boy, just fifteen years, the gun held to his head.
Maybe now they will regret all the things they’ve said.
I’m trying hard to make it through, but I don’t know what for.
I see this ****** up world and I don’t wanna live no more.
I know I want to die now, my decision is quite clear.
Cos even if my life does change, this ****** up world’s still here.
