Trapped in the Past

Contributed by PoeticMystery on Wednesday, 4th August 2004 @ 01:43:43 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Your voice filled my ears,
Like love would fill the heart.
I could feel myself fallin
But I had to set myself apart.

I was still broken like glass
You entered my life, like my glue.
To fix the pieces that were scattered
To fix my heart that was cut in two.

And I killed the hope I had
Smothered it
With my pillow of memories
Strangeled it
With my rope of pleas

To the person that I adored
Begged for his love to last
But he shattered my heart once
And trapped me in the past

Stopping me
Blocking me
Hurting me
Secretely

Stuck in the hole
Digged up by regret
I always said I'd love him forever
Since the day we met.

Now I'm choking on my own words
Dieing in all the memories we made
And even though the pain stands firm
The past I would never trade.
