What happens when you give up on dreams
You give up on hope
What happens when you bail out on the things you love most
What am I to do but sit & think
I had to quit I wasn't being me
I wasn't pursuing me
And all the lonliness it's creeping inside of me
Help me escape.....All of this pain
Help me to reach out
Help me to find the strength I need in you oh,Lord
Things seem to fade away become out of reach
Your friends are fading
Your slowly changing
I pray,I cry,I do it all in pain
No matter how I'm feeling
It's like I can't contoll this
The coming & the going
So help me escape.....All of this pain
Help me to reach out
Help me to find the strength I need in you oh,Lord
I don't know how I'm to explain all this it's another unbreakable thread
To save me,to save you
To stop the pain
To over come everything
No family,No friends,Suicide
Help me escape....All of this pain
Help me to reach out
Help me find the strength I need in you oh,Lord

Very emotional poem. And very well written. Im glad that you are on the right track to getting help especially to the lord. You are in the right path to finding that strength.

You have the strength. It is never easy to overcome our own problems and issues. (Believe me!!) Your poem is great because of the feeling behind it and the fact that it can relate to everyone. The Lord has been a great source of strength for me. I'm not going to sit up here and tell you I'm one of those guys that goes to church all the time but I know he's with me. So many times I thought about ending it all, and Him and my Grandma from upabove saw something in me. You must also see the potential in yourself because if you don't... I do. Keep writing, keep listening and keep talking to Him, he always answers just not the way we want. (Trust me, I'm only 19, He doesn't always give the answer I want) Also if you don't mind, I suggest you read, "The Path That Laid Before Me." A lot of people have told me that the think it has a strong inspirational feel to it and if there is anything I want more is to help people. Holla Front!!!!!!!!!!!!
