Dopamine Junkie

Contributed by pixie on Wednesday, 4th August 2004 @ 10:00:07 AM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

I crave this powerful chemical,
Never satisfied until I’m full,
To the brim of Dopamine,
It is intense but can’t be seen.

It flows around in our minds,
Waiting for something to open the binds,
It can be found in the depths at a rage,
Also inside a lovers age.

When you scream & shout,
Dopamine and adrenalin pump out,
Not forgetting Testosterone,
It doesn’t let the others walk alone.

My body is used to waves of anger,
I lose my cool & go off like a banger,
But it makes me feel so good,
As it surges & races around my blood.

Love gives me the same feelings,
I know of anger & all it’s meanings,
My body craves Dopamine,
That powerful chemical that can’t be seen.

Well done. Makes me long for the intensity of the pits at a Nothingface show.
