Just Around the Bend*

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Many times I've heard the Elders speak of this place,
Just around the Bend...
Where heartaches stop and happiness begins.
A place for only tears of joy,
For kids to find their favorite toys...
Just around the bend.

There's no such thing as time,
Where Melodic Bells do chime
The sweetest sounds for all to hear,
So far away...yet so near
Just around the bend.

I've dreamed of this place many times,
A place that's so sublime...
No one is ever turned away
Once you've been there, you'll want to stay,
Never a cloud, the sun shines always...
Just around the bend.

I'm told this place is full of treats,
Your palate's wish...is there to eat
Nectar, Ambrosia all there to partake...
So come along for goodness sake,
All worries and woes are left at the gate...
A place for you and your soul mate
Just around the bend.

A Lovely Place to Be!

Very beautiful write! You decribed it so well, it sounds perfect. But I know that the way it really is will be even more spectacular! It's comforting to know that that's where I'll be when I'm gone from this world. Thanks so much for sharing, I needed to hear those words today and be reminded of that. Great poem, I love the way you write.

Blessings
Love, Jenna

I second everything you said!

You see there comes a hush over yonder and you just have to sit for a spell cause around the next bend its waiting for you.

You have reminded me of how southern I really am.

Oh I truly, absolutely and infinitely loved this poem.

Kie

I truly loved this poem!

It's wonderfully written, very descriptive, and a sensation to the mind!

I can only imagine a place as perfect as you described!

Great job!

Oh, I so look forward to arriving there as well. I hope it's someday soon for us.
