Lost and Alone

I've shed way too many tears
For people that do not exist.
Every night I cry
And I wonder why this is.
I loved them more than I loved myself.
They helped keep away the pain.
But now all I feel is the emptiness
And the harsh beat of eternal rain.
I was never thought of as emotional,
I was never thought the one to cry.
But now it seems thats all I do,
And I can't help but wonder why.
Now all I feel is an empty void
Deep inside my soul.
All I want at this moment
Is the feeling of being whole.
I will always have the memories
Imprinted in my heart,
And maybe someday that will be enough
To help format a fresh start.
