u and i lie still
next to each other
on the keyboard
never touch, waiting
for a finger to tap the dent
releasing a click of pleasure,
waiting for a tongue
to lick the dent
between neck and shoulder,
clicking letters of love
fluttering over the dark water
that separate our shores.
