Happier today than before
Thank the Lord that much more
I have followed your plan so far
I never thought that I'd get this far

Chorus
"Follow Me", you said
"Trust in Me", you said
As I watched you crying out
Your love for me was pouring out
But I was blinded by your light
Didn't understand what was right

Could you forgive me as I am
A shallow figure of a man
Someone that put their faith aside
Until well after you had died

Well I listened to you preach
On that Galilean beach
And I prayed to our God
And followed where you trod

I listened when you prayed
That we would all be saved someday
I didn't understand your speach
On that Galilean beach

And I was there when you died
I saw the tears as you cried
And then I saw the truth
The Messiah was really you
