Shooting star, brilliant light,
Streaking through the black of night.
Hurling towards the Earth, ignite,
Dreams and wishes of delight.
Shooting star, meteorite,
Sparkling tail like a kite.
Displaying flash of dazzling white,
Boldly dashing, fearless flight.
Shooting star, gleaming bright,
Frictional heating reveals it's plight,
Flaming rock, a marvelous sight,
Bravely divulging it's glittering might.
