Seeing the Light

Seeing the Light

You think you really know me
You think you want to be with me
You think too much of me
All you really see
Is what I want you to of me

You don't see reality
You only believe the lies
I tell you to believe
They'll never come to light
As you see and deny

You'll never know the true me
You don't bother to look beneath
You're afraid to get too deep
Afraid of what you'll find
In me inside
It'll never come to light

Can't go any farther
Than my skin
You'll break your heart apart
From my sins
But it'll be your fault
In the end
For never looking within

In me you'll find
How easily I can ruin your life
One day at a time
The lies over took me inside
And you'll pay the price
For never seeing the light

Your perfect little picture
I can easily shatter
Your perfect little picture
Is shattered with light

So much power and anger in the speaker; such a threatening and well-developed presentation

well done indeed
