Walking While Chewing Gum

Contributed by kyletycz on Monday, 2nd August 2004 @ 12:34:27 PM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

Yesturday I walked to the park
There they have trees covered in bark
They have a pond for fish there too
So I tried to catch one, but lost a shoe
But not a fish would swim near me
Maybe it was a mistake to be in the pond and pee
But then I merrily went along
With one shoe on and singing a song
When I came along the old swing
And remember the joy they would bring
So I climbed on aboard that seat
And proceeded to pump my feet
I was going as high as I would
Untill I jumped off as far as I could
I wish before I jump I would look
Because that tree, my goose did cook
But when I awoke laying on the ground
There wasnt my other shoe to be found
So barefoot I skipped abroad
Only to be chassed by a dog
So I ran home as fast as I can
At least you cant say my day was bland

Although the flow is sometimes broken it makes up for it and the smiles it surely has to bring. I can relate even in my late years. June
