Silly me to fall for you
To believe this was ever true
Silly me to trust and hope
I really must lay off the dope
Silly me to think you care
And to think, I woulda gone anywhere
To be with you, try to make you mine
Silly me to have wasted time
Wasted moments and wasted tears
Making plans for the coming years
Silly me to want so much
To dream of you, ache for your touch
Thinking I found true love at last
Silly me to fall so fast
Wanting us to be together
Silly me to think we were forever
