Just A Man
----------
I am just a man
A hero to none
A simple man
A father to one
No armor of steel
No spider web
No heavenly halo
Around my head
No professor of knowledge
No rocket scientist
Just a humble man
Trying his best
I’m just a sinner
Saved by grace
I’m just a participant
In the rat race
I have no want
To be any higher
To be happy in life
Is my desire
I’m just a man
A hero to none
Just a simple man
A father to one

My father is still my greatest hero and always will be. He has been gone for over 20 years but will never be less in my eyes. Loving, nurturing, guiding fathers are always heros in their childrens lives and their actions help their children know how to mature into a good person and a loving parent. You are a hero and the type we need many more or in this world today. |

So honest.
I love the way this is written, with such simplicity and humility.
Depth, character and sweetness all shine through.
