There is happiness in a bottle,
quote the stars on tv,
one whiff, one sniff,
and you'll be happy,
just wait and see.
Why do we let ourselves believe
what is obviously too good to be true?
we raise our hopes
and pay for the lies
just to find out what we already knew.
You can't be naive enough
to believe all they say,
let your life rest on an add,
for in the end, after all,
it's you who'll pay.
It's controversy in a bottle,
persuasion in a pill,
there's a sucker born every minute,
fed from greed and the industries ill will.
