So Unique

Topic: SadPoetry

You were my friend
Though why I still don’t see
You listened to all my problems
You were always there for me

I could always count on you
To my inner thoughts you held the key
Even if it was only your curiosity
That kept you there beside me

Somewhere along the way
It came to me how unfair I was
Always needing you to listen
About myself I was abuzz

I seemed to forget you were human too
You were not made of stone
Feelings and emotions ate away at you
Yet I was deaf to your silent moan

Knew I needed to set you free
Been focused on me too long
Didn’t know the words to say
And I cannot sing a song

I chose the cowards’ way to end
My words were hurtful and mean
But away from me you went
If only the future I could of seen

Didn’t realize how much I needed you
Never had a friend quite so unique
Trust is something I do not have
Without you I am so very weak

Awe that is really sad. Maybe your friend will read this and forgive you. I have gone through that and I know how hard it could be. Friends are the greatest treasures. Just try to rediscover that one.

A true friend, is one who will take a little time, to reflect and to heal....but will return with the same old zeal.

Very good, thank you for sharing.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
