Suicide's Regret

Contributed by Delusions_of_Grandeu on Tuesday, 29th October 2002 @ 08:20:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

She lays curled up on the bathroom floor,
alone and scared,
but no one cares,
she's locked herself inside,
but life goes on without her,
and it seems it always will.

Before the anger had seethed from her,
red and hot,
but now it's not,
now all she feels is pain and misgiving,
regret and pity,
for herself,
for what she's done cannot be stopped,
it's far too late now anyway.

She had fallen,
weakness overpowering,
her hate for life faded
and the pain had set in.

All her rage had become insignificant,
become nothing more,
as the blood began to pour,
and as she slips away,
a single tear escapes her eye,
pooling on the crimson stained floor.

Her grip relaxed,
the razor still clutched in her fist,
her unmoving stare frigidly calm,
her dying thought,
"Why did no one come?
Oh God, what have I done?"

No one will miss her,
she won't be remembered,
she'll be another statistic,
without even a name,
just living the game
of teenage life.
